Founded in 2020, as a garage-based web design & app development agency in Kampala, Uganda, we’ve developed a reputation for building websites and apps that look great and easy to use over the last few years. In 2024, we merged and rebranded as a creative social enterprise with a mission to do just 2 things;

1. To help as many visionary founders validate concepts and attract investors through Rapid Application Development quickly.
2. To teach young creators aged 15-22 how to code, design, and innovate.

Opening: Where It All Began

In 2020, while the world stood still during the COVID-19 pandemic, House 88 was born in a small garage in Kampala, Uganda.

Back then, we were just a scrappy team of creators with big ideas, a couple of laptops, and a relentless drive to build something meaningful.

We started with web design and app development—simple projects that quickly became more than just code. What we didn’t realize at the time was that we weren’t just building products—we were building possibilities.

The Turning Point

As we worked with startups and visionaries, a pattern emerged. Founders often had brilliant ideas but struggled with time, budget, and knowing how to bring their visions to life. Traditional development was too slow, too expensive, and often out of reach for early-stage businesses.

That’s when we asked ourselves: What if we could change the game?

What if we could take all that complexity, strip it down to the essentials, and build investor-ready products in a matter of days, not months?
